News of a scary event from Monday is trickling in, featuring one of the most closely watched prospects in college basketball. Apparently, Bronny James, son of LeBron James, collapsed on a basketball court Monday, due to a cardiac arrest.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Luckily for all involved, James is now out of the ICU. Early reports indicated that not only was the USC medical staff necessary, but an ambulance with lights and sirens on was also necessary to transport the 18-year-old to a treatment facility.
James has selected the University of Southern California as his college basketball home after playing for Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles during his high school career. The 6-foot-3 James is a combo guard that may be drafted as an attempt to get LeBron and Bronny on the same team when he’s eligible.
