The 2021 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Tre Mann 2021 NBA Draft Profile.

Mann spent two seasons at Florida and improved from one year to the next. He is now heading to the 2021 NBA Draft.
A five-star point guard prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, Mann decided to leave the state of South Carolina to play for the Florida Gators. He averaged 5.3 points and 0.7 assists per game as a freshman. The Gators went 19-12 before the season was ended prematurely due to COVID. His play improved during his sophomore season, as he averaged 16 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Florida ended up losing in the second round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament to Oral Roberts to end their season.
Following his vast improvement during his sophomore season, Mann declared for the 2021 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a late first round pick.
Strengths
As a sophomore, Mann vastly improved his shooting. He shot 27.5 percent from 3-point range as a freshman and 40.2 percent as a sophomore. His percentages from the floor and the free throw line also vastly increased. He mainly specializes in shooting off the dribble as a point guard. His NBA-range and improved shooting could continue to improve during his early years in the league.
Mann handles the ball well and can create his own shot. He has the ability to get into the lane and he also has some moves to create space on the perimeter. Because he can dribble well (and shoot) it puts a lot more pressure on a defense. He could be quicker with the ball in his hands, but he was still able to get free from college defenders a decent amount.
His passing also vastly improved during his sophomore season. He went from averaging 0.7 assists per game (with a negative assist to turnover ration) to 3.5 assists per game. Mann can find open players underneath for easy baskets, as well as player on the perimeter. He’ll need to continue to improve in this regard to be a true point guard, but his improvement is encouraging.
Weaknesses
Mann shot well last season, but he has a slow release. It takes a little bit of time for him to wind up and set to shoot. This means defenders have more time to recover and contest his shot. It also means he needs to clear more space to get his shot off. If he can keep his form, but get the ball out quicker, he will get many more open shots.
He doesn’t have great athleticism for an NBA player. Mann is not the quickest or fastest player and will struggle more to separate from NBA talent. He could be deterred from going in the lane because he isn’t an above the rim finisher. His athleticism will also make things hard for him on the defensive side of the ball.
His defense needs to improve for him to get consistent minutes at the NBA level. He doesn’t have the best footspeed to stay in front of his man. Mann also will need to improve his awareness to play better team defense. He doesn’t have a great wingspan for an NBA player, as he ranked third-last in that during the NBA Combine, which limits his defensive abilities.
Projected Draft Range: Late First Round pick
