29-year-old Brazillian point guard Raul Neto has re-signed with the Washington Wizards. The amount of years and financial details of Neto’s new contract have not yet been released at time of writing, but he will be returning to play with the new-look Wizards.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news on Wednesday.

Neto played in 64 games with the Wizards last season, starting in 22. Being the secondary point guard to Russell Westbrook, he set a career high in points (8.7), steals (1.1) and rebounds (2.4) per game. He also played more minutes per game than he ever had in his six-year-long NBA career.
The former second-round selection and Brazilian and Spanish pro is returning to a team that will look very different. The Wizards traded away Russell Westbrook for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. They have also traded away Chandler Hutchison and performed a sign-and-trade for Spencer Dinwiddie.
Neto will have some chemistry building to be a part of in Washington.
