The Raptors and Spurs have engaged in a trade ahead of the 2022 trade deadline. Toronto trades away Goran Dragic and a protected 2022 first round pick. San Antonio will send Thad Young and Drew Eubanks along with a second round selection back to the Raptors.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Sources: Full Spurs-Raptors deal:
Raptors: Thad Young, Drew Eubanks, 2022 Pistons second-rounder
Spurs: Goran Dragic, Toronto 2022 first-rounder (protected 1-14, protected 1-13 in 2023, turning into future seconds)

It has been reported that San Antonio will negotiate a contract buyout for Dragic. This would make Dragic a free agent. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has said that rumors indicate that the Mavericks, Bucks, Bulls and Clippers would be interested in signing him after the buyout.
The pick San Antonio receives in the trade is protected through the 1-14 spots in 2022 and the 1-13 spots in 2023. It would turn into future second round selections past those points.
