The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to deals with free agents Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Anthony, 37, is an 18-year veteran who has played for the Nuggets, Knicks, Thunder, Rockets and Trail Blazers. He has scored 27,370 points in his career and has averaged 23.0 points per game during his time in the NBA. Last season for the Trail Blazers, Anthony averaged 13.4 points per game in 69 games played.
Monk is a 23-year-old shooting guard who played the first four seasons of his career with the Charlotte Hornets. He averaged a career-best 11.7 points per game in the 2020-2021 season.
The Lakers are loading up for another run at an NBA title and the acquisitions of Anthony and Monk should help spread the floor for LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis.
