The 2022 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Kennedy Chandler 2022 NBA Draft Profile.
Kennedy Chandler Background

Size:Â 6-foot, 172 pounds

School:Â Tennessee
2021-22 stats:Â 13.9 points, 4.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 0.2 blocks per game, 46.4% FG, 38.3% 3FG, 60.6% FT
Chandler spent one season with the Tennessee Volunteers but showed off his talent. He is now a member of the 2022 NBA Draft class.
As a prospect, Chandler was a five-star prospect who decided to stay in-state to play for Tennessee. The Volunteers had a great season with Chandler, as they won 27 games. The good season ended in the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Chandler finished the season averaging 13.9 points, 4.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
After making an impact for Tennessee last season, Chandler declared for the 2022 NBA draft. He is a projected mid to late first-round pick.
Kennedy Chandler Strengths
Chandler is a great playmaker. He has good court awareness and understands how to get his teammates the ball. When he gets into the lane, he can kick out to an open teammate or find one cutting to the basket. He will be able to run the pick and roll because his passing and ability to read defenses make him effective.
His ability to shoot from deep was on display at Tennessee. He shot 38.1 percent from 3-point range and can really stretch the floor. Chandler is at his best shooting off the catch and can improve shooting off the driblle. He should be able to keep a similar shooting percentage in the NBA as he did in college because he has good form.
He is able to pick up a lot of steals on defense. His basketball IQ helps him read where opponents will go with the ball. He can pick their pocket or jump into passing lanes to get steals. His quickness helps him get after the ball in an instant. He can be a pest on defense.
Kennedy Chandler Weaknesses
Chandler is one of the smaller players in the entire class. He stands at just over 6-foot tall with shoes on and weighs just 172 pounds. Chandler will be going up against players that have longer arms and who are stronger, which will make it harder for him to score. He also may have trouble guarding bigger players.
While he did shoot well overall at Tennessee, his free throw shooting needs to improve. He shot just over 60 percent from the free-throw line. He doesn’t get to the line too often, but if he wants to be on the floor at the end of games he needs to improve.
He has a knack for making plays, but also makes some ill-advised passes because he is trying to fit the ball into a tight window. He had 2.5 turnovers per game at Tennessee and a lot of them came from him trying too hard to make plays.
Projected Draft Range:Â Mid-Late First Round Pick
