Jae’Sean Tate is re-signing with the Houston Rockets. The restricted free agent is reportedly being given a three-year, $22.1 million deal by the Rockets, who had a chance to match or exceed any offer Tate was extended during the free agency period.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.

Tate went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, and would go on to play professional basketball in Belgium and Australia. In 2020, he was given a chance by the Houston Rockets, who have kept him on the roster ever since luring him home from overseas.
In his two years as a Rocket, Tate has scored 11.3 and 11.8 points per game, respectively. Last season, he also grabbed 5.4 rebounds per game and dished out 2.8 assists per game from the small forward position. He will continue to man the wing for a rebuilding Rockets team.
