Former 2014 consensus college player of the year, Doug McDermott has signed a three-year contract with the Spurs. San Antonio will pay McDermott $42 million over those three seasons.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Free agent Doug McDermott has agreed to a three-year, $42 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

McDermott was drafted by the Bulls in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft. Since then he has played for the Thunder, the Knicks and the Pacers. He was a member of all three of those teams in one calendar year (2018).
His career highs in almost every category came during the 2021 season with the Pacers. He scored 13.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, shooting over 53 percent from the field. McDermott was also given the most starts of his career last year, cracking the starting lineup 29 times.
