Bagley, 23, is a former no. 2 overall pick by the Sacramento Kings. He was traded from the Kings to the Pistons last season. In his four-year NBA career, Bagley has averaged 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds. Bagley signed a three-year, $37 million deal with Detroit.
The Pistons also signed Kevin Knox to a two-year, $8 million deal. He was a former first-round pick by the New York Knicks. Knox has averaged 7.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in his career.
With the moves, the Pistons will have a starter and some depth in their frontcourt. Both players will pair with rookie Jaden Ivey and Cade Cunningham to build a young core.
