The Los Angeles Clippers have made yet another move ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline. They are sending Reggie Jackson and a 2028 second round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in return for veteran center Mason Plumlee.
The L.A. Times’ Andrew Greif reported the full trade via Twitter on Thursday.
Plumlee was drafted in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft out of Duke. In 2010, Plumlee and Duke won the NCAA National Championship. He kept that success streak going into his first NBA season, making the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
Since being drafted, Plumlee has bounced around to five different teams, now six after this trade. Last year, as a Hornet, he played 73 games, scoring 6.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Plumlee started all 73 of his games played last year.
