Green, 34, is a 13-year NBA veteran who has played for nine different franchises. Over his career, he has averaged 13 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
With the Nets having Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, they will need players like Green to provide good depth off the bench as they make their run to an NBA Championship.
No details have been released yet on the terms of the deal.
