Minnesota Timberwolves No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards scored a career-high 34 points in Sunday nights win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Edwards shot 12-24 from the field and set another career-high with six 3-pointers on 14 attempts. On a night when none of his teammates scored more than 15 points, Edwards played his best game as a professional and lead his team to a victory over a tough Portland team.
As Portland tried to close in late in the game, Edwards responded with 14 fourth quarter points hitting three triples. To cap off his career-night Edwards threw down another monster dunk late in the fourth the put the Wolves up 10.

Edwards may not be leading in the Rookie of the Year race but he is putting together a solid rookie season and has shown flashes of being a highly impactful player. There is no doubt Edwards is incredibly talented and games like these should give Minnesota fans hope for what he can be moving forward.
