Veteran center Mason Plumlee has been traded to the Charlotte Hornets. The Detroit Pistons are sending over Plumlee and the 37th pick in exchange for the 57th pick. This will be Plumlee’s fourth team since entering the league in 2013.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

In a rare move, Detroit is trading a higher pick and a player for the fourth-to-last selection in the draft. They also have the first overall selection in the draft, which has already confirmed to be Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham.
The 6-foot-11 Plumlee was an NCAA Champion with Duke in 2010. His only NBA accolade came in 2014, when he made First Team All-Rookie. His career stats include 8.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
