Castellanos, 27, is a .277 career hitter. He has played seven MLB seasons with the Tigers and the Cubs. In 2019, Castellanos hit .289 with 27 home runs and 73 RBIs.
The Reds have already added to their roster this offseason by acquiring outfielder Shogo Akiyama and starting pitcher Wade Miley. After finishing 75-87 last season, the Reds will hope to compete for the playoffs with the new additions.
