League of Legends is one of the most patched games in the world. This is in order to keep players on their toes with changes and make sure the meta in the game is never stale. Another major positive for it is for pro players to have to change how they play as well. This includes what is happening at the World Championships. Here is the answer for what Patch is Worlds 2023 On?

The meta leading up to Worlds was doing what it normally does, getting a bit stale. The bot lane was basically just a fight for Kai’Sa, Xayah and Rakan. Many fans were already getting pretty tired of this. Even Rell who has been a new pick is happening all too often. Along with this, picks like Jayce and Sejuani were being seen quite a bit in the mid and jungle respectively. Luckily, teams will have had less time and, for most, three new patches to work on.
The last few patches have seen nerfs to Stattik Shiv which was dominating the meta for quite some time. Then they even nerfed Kai’Sa and Maokai, two high-priority picks that seemingly worked for Maokai but Kai’Sa, not so much. Naafiri was also introduced and while they are not expecting to see her in pro play as much, she has been a menace and was nerfed accordingly for lower elo players.
What is the Worlds 2023 Patch?
Then came the answer to the question of, what Patch is Worlds 2023 on? LoL Patch 13.18 will likely be the Worlds patch. Not much is known about this patch just yet as it will be announced just a few weeks before the event starts. That being said, it is generally one that will change the meta significantly.
Whether or not this ends up being true at Worlds 2023 won’t be known until it starts on Tuesday, 10/10/2023. Make sure to watch for more Worlds coverage coming soon.
