After nearly four years, TSM and Mingyi “Spica” Lu are going their separate ways. This was announced by Spica on his own Twitter account. This means that Spica will be a free agent for the first time in his career at the highest level. Here is the latest one TSM and Spica going their separate ways.

His Tweet is listed below.
As it is Tweeted now, it sounds like the decision was made by TSM. This is likely to allow him to start pursuing other offers sooner.
The former LCS MVP and LCS Champion leaves the org after a tumultuous year. While Spica individually played well by most standards, the team did not. They finished ninth in the Spring Split and seventh in the Summer Split. The team slipped by into the Summer Playoffs where they took out FlyQuest and pushed Evil Geniuses to the brink.
There is no doubt that Spica will be highly sought after as an NA jungler with his talents is rarely on the market. While most of the top teams in the LCS already have a top level jungler, there are certain teams, even those going to Worlds in 2022, who may see Spica as an upgrade. Regardless it would be shocking not to see the 21-year-old find a home quickly.
This seems to be a sign that TSM may be blowing it up as many were waiting for Spica’s decision to see where the storied org would turn next. With only Spica and Solo’s contracts up, it will be interesting to see where TSM turn next.
