Solo is making a return to competitive league. After helping Flyquest make two finals in 2020 and going to Worlds, Solo was surprisingly not picked up by an org. Solo throughout his career has drifted between teams and Academy. After a brief stint being Finn’s replacement until he arrived on CLG, Solo hasn’t really been heard from. This all changed today when Golden Guardians tweeted this:
Stepping up to the plate, please join us in welcoming @SoloLCS to our Academy roster 👏
We look forward to growing together in the coming split and making even bigger strides than the last 💛 pic.twitter.com/q9ZxZfSWWQ

Golden Guardians Academy didn’t have a great split. They placed 9th in the regular season and had a decent run at Proving Grounds beating Team Liquid. Despite this, some changed still needed to be made and Tally was the one that had to go.
Hopefully Solo can bring some spark and veteran presence into the Golden Guardians.
