After a lot of talk and discussion, particularly in the last year, the League Championship Series, also commonly known as the LCS has officially rebranded. This comes just a few years after the successful LEC rebrand which has been lauded as a great success. The LCS on the other hand was seemingly looking for a new identity and it seems as though they have found one.

While COVID definitely did not help the broadcast in 2020, the LCS was needing to do something new. Every other major region has been ahead of the LCS in a number of ways, the broadcast included. They had unique graphics, great personalities and even some incredible skits. All of these things pushed them far ahead of the LCS and the gap in quality was widening in a big way.
This is not to say that the LCS does not have plenty of great people, they just needed to start over. That said, it will be interesting to see if anyone is brought in to join the LCS in terms of personalities. From the video on Kobe and LeTigress were shown. This does not mean that anyone from the regular broadcasting crew wont be there, but those two are seemingly the only confirmed ones so far.
The LCS does have a great crew in terms of analysis and in-game casting talent. Casters like CaptainFlowers and Phreak particularly showed up last year and for the last couplet of years.
Expect to see the LCS doing more than just changing their logo. The broadcast will likely look a lot different as well as how they go about it. With the LCS undergoing so much change this offseason, fans should be extremely excited for the season ahead.
