The page has turned to the 2023 Summer and LCS fans everywhere would normally be excited to see where their teams stand. Like all Power Rankings, these LCS Power Rankings will instantly be wrong upon being published. But that is okay because pieces like these are fun thought experiments as the end of the season comes about. So, without further adieu, here are the LCS 2023 Summer Split Power Rankings, heading into Week 5.

10. Immortals (Last Week: 10)
The slide has continued to 10 games. At this point a change of position would help but they do not have an Academy team so they do not have anyone readily available to step in. Tactical is having some decent games but everyone else struggling big-time. If Immortals win even one more game this Split that would be a surprise.
9. FlyQuest (Last Week: 4)
FlyQuest are back to the bottom. They are the prime example of talent not translating to wins. They simply have not been playing well as a team. That being said they believe that changing out Vicla for Spirax may help give them a similar boost as it did for Team Liquid and APA. They are 3-9 and on the verge of not making playoffs.
8. 100 Thieves (Last Week: 6)
It was tough to put 100 Thieves here but this past week Quid did not have the same impact. Add his poor play along with Closer and Ssumday and this team is on the struggle bus. Luckily they have a two-game lead on FlyQuest heading into the second to last week of regular season play but they should not get too comfortable.
7. Dignitas (Last Week: 7)
Dignitas had the opportunity to show that they belonged near the top. Instead, they only beat FlyQuest which everyone is seemingly doing at this point. While they have good showings, this team is ultimately inconsistent and potentially has been figured out.
6. NRG (Last Week: 8)
This squad is finally starting to look like many thought they would. Contractz and Dhokla are still struggling a bit but if they can turn things around or even just stabalize then NRG are primed to make a late season run.
5. TSM (Last Week: 9)
With Insanity TSM are 6-3. This would put them near the very top of the league. It will be interesting to see how TSM shores up their issues in the early game. But, they never give up and their carries make plays when they have to. This TSM has already surprised everyone and is just a win or two away from locking in their playoff spot.
4. Team Liquid (Last Week: 5)
Normally Team Liquid would not be ahead of a team they just lost to. This is a pretty accepted when making Power Rankings. The problem is that APA came in and reinvigorated Team Liquid to a 2-0 in their last two games and looking much more cohesive. If he can continue to be that glue that the team needed so badly then Team Liquid can reach the potential many thought they should.
3. Evil Geniuses (Last Week: 2)
Last week was not a bad week necessarily for Evil Geniuses but they looked weaker than they had in previous weeks. This squad is the first of essentially locked in playoff contenders only needing one win of a FlyQuest loss to confirm that. They have the likely MVP in jojopyun on their squad and UNF0RGIVEN has been playing very well. Look for that to continue and for EG to push for that first place spot.
2. Golden Guardians (Last Week: 3)
Golden Guardians are firing on all cylinders right now, even after an odd loss to TSM. The Zac pick works in theory but it didn’t look as though it had been practiced enough based on what they hoped to accomplish with it. Everyone is playing near or at their best right now and what GG are hoping is that they can carry it through the rest of the year.
1. Cloud9 (Last Week: 1)
Yes, they finally lost a game to Golden Guardians. Considering the law of averages, this was bound to happen, mainly because GG are a solid enough team. That being said, Cloud9 are still clearly the best in the LCS and will also look to likely lock a playoff spot early in week 5 of the LCS.
