Jihun ‘Chovy’ Jung is the mid laner for the Gen.G League of Legends team. He joined the team in November of 2021, with his contract expiring on November 21st, 2022. Though he has only been on the team for half a year, he has been an impactful member of the team. In the LCK 2022 Spring Playoffs with the help of Chovy they were able to get 2nd place. There are so many possibilities when it comes to what the Gen.G League of Legends team can bring with Chovy extending his contract through the end of 2023.
Welcome to another year.

Gen.G Chovy
Chovy too has seen the potential with his current team, stating “I was assured of a successful future with the team’s utmost support, and I decided to continue my journey with Gen.G. I will do my best to repay the support from the team and fans, aiming for the championship title in the upcoming summer season,” said Chovy.
He is a player that has secured championships such as the 2018 LoL KeSPA CUP Championship. He is a superstar with not only his in-game mechanics but also in his leadership in helping to build the environment for the team. Tiger Nation is excited to see what more the team can achieve now by locking in Choivy for another year.
Summer Split
This might be the crucial component that the Gen.G League of Legend team needs to succeed in the Summer Split. CEO of Gen.G, Arnold Hur said that he is “thrilled that Chovy trusted us throughout the Spring Split and into our long-term vision for the LoL team and esports program in general,” and that “This guy isn’t just good, he’s a game-changer. Any chance you have to sign a superstar like him, you have to take it.” Arnold Hur echoes the thoughts that many fans have that Chovy is just too good to let go.
Gen.G’s first match of the LCK Summer 2022 is scheduled for June 16 against KT Rolster, where fans can watch Chovy on stage again with his team.
