Pokemon Farigiraf Shown in New Scarlet and Violet Trailer

For fans wanting to know more about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet a brand new trailer was just released. In this trailer some new aspects of the game were shown along with a new evolution for an older Pokemon. It is clear that even a month out, the Pokemon devs are not wanting to show too much. Here is a look at the new Girafarig evolution added to Pokemon, Farigiraf.

Girafarig is a Generation 2 Pokemon meaning that it came out with Pokemon Silver and Gold nearly 20 years ago. Since then it has been a Pokemon that many felt like the Pokemon company could and should do more with. Since then it has largely been unused and likely forgotten by many people, especially players born after the original release.

Now though, Farigiraf gives the Giraffe Pokemon some new life. It will still retain its Psychic typing but will gain Normal typing as well. It also comes with two brand-new abilities. They are called Cud Chew and Armor Tail. Here are the descriptions for each.

Cud Chew: “When a Pokémon with this Ability eats a Berry, it will eat it one more time at the end of the next turn.”

Armor Tail: “It makes opposing Pokémon unable to use priority moves.”

There is no doubt that both of these abilities could prove to be extremely useful. At that with the Normal typing in order to fight against Ghost typing’s super effective moveset and Farigiraf could be a very intriguing Pokemon.
