Hello, trainers. Hope everyone is doing alright. Pokemon GO, like any Pokemon game, is meant to be a social endeavor. To that end, Niantic has decided to go above and beyond the call of duty. This piece will talk about the Pokemon GO Campfire addition.
Campfire: Pokemon GO’s Halloween Planning Companion
In order to make Halloween special, Niantic is bringing their new social app, Campfire, as an extension to the Pokemon GO app. This announcement came on October 28. Niantic had this to say about it.
“We know that Halloween is a special time for spooky stories and sweet treats, and that the best Halloween memories are made together with friends. To that end, we have a special treat for active Trainers around the US: Niantic’s new social app, Campfire, is coming to Pokémon GO in select US cities! The app arrives just in time to help coordinate Halloween Raid Battles. We’re working hard to bring Campfire to select cities – once players have been granted Campfire access, they will receive a welcome email, so please keep an eye on those email inboxes for more information soon!”- Pokemon GO Team.
The Company did not provide the list of participating cities in the October 28 announcement. The Game Haus will update this article when they acquire that info.
What Will This App Do?
Campfire is an app that allows trainers to find local raid battles almost instantly. Once live, players need to tap the map icon to open the Campfire map. This will give them a view all of the Raid Battle and Flare activity around them directly within Pokémon GO!
