Season 13 is halfway over and a new ranked split kicks off soon. On Tuesday, the new Apex Legends ranked split brings a soft reset to ranks and a different map.

World’s Edge replacing Storm Point as the ranked map for the rest of Season 13 is the first big change. The fan-favorite map with popular locations such as East Fragment, Lava Siphon, and Climatizer is back. For the next month and a half it will serve as the competitive battleground.
Along with the new map, ranks also soft reset. According to the new Awakening Event ranked changes, players are now only demoted 4 divisions or one rank. For example, someone in Gold 4 drops down to Silver 4. The reset offers more of a challenge and a fresh experience for those struggling at their rank.
Players who failed to achieve their desired rank in the first split still have hope. Apex Legends ranked rewards are awarded based upon the highest rank in either split. At the end of Season 13, all players get a badge, holospray, and weapon charm reflecting their rank. Diamond and above competitors also earn a dive trail.
The Awakening update made changes to RP that players should be mindful of in the second split. Entry costs lowered a bit from the high price at the start of Season 13. Additionally, there are increased opportunities to earn RP from higher kill games and eliminations above your rank.
Season 13 Apex Legends ranked split 2 starts at 10am PT/1pm ET on Tuesday, June 28.
