The Cleveland Browns have acquired linebacker Olivier Vernon from the Giants in a deal that sends Kevin Zeitler to New York. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo were the first to report the deal.

There will also be picks in the deal, as the Giants will send pick 132 to the Browns who will send pick 155 back to New York.
The Browns will get a known pass rusher in Vernon, 28, to play opposite of Myles Garrett. In 11 games last season, Vernon had seven sacks and 30 total tackles. Cleveland finished tied for 22nd in the league with 37 sacks last seasons and will be hoping to increase that number with the addition of Vernon.
For the Giants, they lose Vernon and will be in the market for more pass rushers, as they tied for 30th in the league with 30 sacks. New York will gain an experienced guard in Zeitler, 29, who should be able to improve an offensive line that has struggled in recent years.
