The new Fortnite season is just around the corner as Chapter 3 season 2 is on its final legs. Epic Games has officially announced that Fortnite will be having a live event to kick off the new season. This event is being dubbed the Fortnite Collision Event promising that players will be “transported to an experience that’s out of this world”.
When & Where
The Fortnite Collison event will go live on June 4 at 4 PM ET. With this being an event to kick off the season there is only a one-time entry. If gamers miss their chance they can never take part in the event ever again.
To promote this end-of-the-season event any players who log in on June 4 will receive an exclusive loading screen and lobby track. Within the Fortnite item shop, there will be Mecha Weapons Team Outfits available for purchase. Before the launch of the event, the Fortnite Crew outfit for June will be revealed so players can purchase it prior to the Fortnite Collision Event.
Last Calls
The Fortnite Collison event is the end of all things in Chapter 3 Season 2. This means that all challenges and rewards including this current season’s battle pass will be unavailable after June 4. Gamers will need to wrap up any remaining quests and unlock all desired rewards before the shutdown of the season. Some of these quests may include:
- Completing Prowler’s Special Quests
- Gathering any remaining Omni Chips to unlock variants of the Omni Sword pickaxe
- Trading in any remaining Battle Stars in exchange for rewards
Any unused Battle Stars will be automatically redeemed for the earliest available rewards. However, if any player has unspent Omni Chips those will be gone when the Collision event ends the season. The only quests and rewards that will carry over into the new season will be any from the Golden Touch Quest Pack.
Starting on May 31 at 9 AM ET, Bargain Bin Week begins cutting the cost of all Character services and Exotic item trades allowing players to spend any or all golden bars accumulated over the season as they also do not carry over.
