The 2021-22 NFL season has already been extremely entertaining. It has shown fantasy trends that have started to develop and show what could happen the rest of the season. Already some players have proven to be fantasy relevant while some fantasy stars have been alarmingly disappointing to this point. Injuries have started to mount up this season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the Week 4 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who should definitely be in your lineup that week because of the combination of matchup and talent. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and could repeat the production most weeks.
Starter- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
Low-End Starter- a player who should be started in most lineups but can possibly bottom out and finish below average on a given week. A high ceiling play in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Streamer- a player who could be a perfect replacement for a starter for a week or two. Starting this player may not win you your lineup but they will make sure that your production out of that position will not lose you your matchup either. Also a viable option in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Deep League Streamer- a player who could fill a void at a position in a deeper league. Their ceiling may be close to average point production at the position but their floor is enough to get through the week. A reasonable player to have in your lineup in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday
QB8 Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
After his impressive win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Justin Herbert was seen with his hand wrapped and in ice. There is no speculation that he will miss his game this week against the Raiders. It works in his favor that the Chargers don’t play until Monday night. If Herbert were to miss Chase Daniel would be the QB30 between Mac Jones and Jameis Winston.
QB9 Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
There are not any major injuries on Green Bay that would impact Aaron Rodgers’ fantasy stock this week. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense Rodgers plays this week is dealing with a couple of injuries. Pass rushers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith were missed last week against the Bengals. If they both miss this upcoming game against the Packers Rodgers would shoot up to QB6 between Tom Brady and Russell Wilson.
QB11 Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
After being with a hip issue last week, Lamar Jackson has missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a back injury. If Jackson was to miss this game Tyler Huntley would join the list at QB32 between Davis Mills and Trey Lance.
QB17 Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans
Even though Ryan Tannehill has a great matchup against the New York Jets this week, he may not be able to exploit it because both of his top receivers A.J. Brown and Julio Jones could miss this week. A.J. Brown is considered week to week with a hamstring issue. Now Julio Jones has missed practice with a leg issue. If both are out they may be extremely run-heavy against New York. However if one or both play Tannehill would bump up to QB16 between Taylor Heinicke and Sam Darnold.
Chicago Bears Quarterbacks: QB24 Andy Dalton & QB35 Justin Fields
The biggest story in the NFL right now is how the Chicago Bears quarterback room is a mess. Bears’ head coach Matt Nagy has said all three quarterbacks on the roster Andy Dalton, Justin Fields, and Nick Foles are all options to start this week. It is hard to trust any of the three after what they have shown this season. If Fields starts against Detriot he would be QB25 between Matt Ryan and Daniel Jones. If Foles started he would slot in at QB28 between Zach Wilson and Ben Roethlisberger.
