The 2021-22 NFL season is just past its halfway point. Bye weeks have been taking place the past few weeks. This means that tight ends like Tyler Higbee and Noah Fant will be out this week. On top of that injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the Fantasy Football Week 11 tight end rankings.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They Will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting TE1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a solid floor.
TD Dependent Starter- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not because of depth at the position. Their production is based on whether they can get in the end zone or not. It can be the difference between a top 10 performance or top 25 performance
Deep League Starter- a player whose ceiling isn’t high but should put up enough production to be started in deep leagues. When a player like this is started it is because their production though it will likely be low, will be better than a few options.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

TE11 Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rob Gronkowski has been dealing with a rib issue for almost the entire season. It is uncertain whether Gronkowski will play this week or not. If Gronkowski doesn’t play this week against New York, Cameron Brate moves up to TE20 between Geoff Swaim and Dawson Knox. O.J. Howard would move to TE35 between Ricky Seals-Jones and Kyle Rudolph.
TE12 Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
Dallas Goedert suffered a concussion against the Denver Broncos last week. If he doesn’t play against the New Orleans Saints either Jack Stoll or Tyree Jackson would fill in as the Eagles starting tight end.
Washington Football Team Tight Ends: TE13 Logan Thomas & TE35 Ricky Seals-Jones
Logan Thomas could potentially return from injured reserve this week. However if he doesn’t not return this week against Carolina then Ricky Seals-Jones would move up to TE19 between Dalton Schultz and Geoff Swaim. However, if Seals-Jones is inactive with his hip issue then rookie tight end John Bates would be the Washington Football Team’s starting tight end.
TE26 Jonnu Smith, New England Patriots
Jonnu Smith missed last week’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a shoulder injury. This is something for managers who start Smith in deeper leagues to pay attention through during the week.
TE29 Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks
Gerald Everett missed practice Wednesday with a groin injury. If Everett was to miss this week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals then Will Dissly would join the list at Everett’s spot at TE29.
TE34 Pharoah Brown, Houston Texans
Pharoah Brown is still dealing with a thigh issue that held him out of two games before Houston’s bye. If Brown is out expect Brevin Jordan and Anthony Auclair to take over Brown’s reps.
