The 2024-25 NFL season has been extremely entertaining! The fantasy landscape has already changed since the preseason due to breakout players and major injuries across the league. Bye weeks are starting to take place. This means that quarterbacks like James Conner and Chuba Hubbard will be out this week. On top of that injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 11 running back rankings.
[Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to Injured Reserve List]
[Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week]
Key:
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They Will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting RB1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
High-End RB2- a player who may not be likely to carry a lineup that week, but has the ability to have a breakout game and is teetering between RB1 and RB2 territory.
Starting RB2- a player who should be started in most lineups and should reach their point projection. This player is started because of their consistency and moderately high floor
Low RB2- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not. Their production may not be pretty or win a person their lineup but the production is consistent enough to make a fantasy owner comfortable starting them.
Flex- a player who could float around the territory of being benched, but is started due to the potential to play better than their point projection. However, this player has the potential to flop and cause a fantasy team to lose if he has a bad game.
Deep League Flex- a player who is more of a Hail Mary throw at the position. There are enough reasons to leave this player on the bench, but their upside makes them an attractive option. Desperate times may call for a player like this to be inserted into starting lineups.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Players that could miss this week’s game
RB1 Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers
Christian McCaffrey was limited in practice on Wednesday because of his Achilles injury. Barring a setback he should not be in danger of missing this week’s game. If McCaffrey misses Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks Jordan Mason moves up to RB19 between Aaron Jones and James Cook.
RB14 Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
Josh Jacobs was limited in practice on Thursday with a quad injury. It is unclear if this will affect his status for the game this weekend. If Jacobs misses Week 11 against the Chicago Bears Emanuel Wilson moves up to RB24 between Nick Chubb and Najee Harris.
RB19 Aaron Jones, Minnesota Vikings
Aaron Jones was limited in practice on Thursday with a rib injury. It is unclear if this injury could cause him to miss time. If Jones misses Week 11 against the Tennessee Titans Cam Akers moves up to RB26 between Rico Dowdle and Travis Etienne Jr.
RB21 Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans
Tony Pollard was limited in practice on Thursday with a foot injury. He has been dealing with his foot injury for a week now. If he misses Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings Tyjae Spears moves up to RB23 between J.K. Dobbins and Nick Chubb.
RB30 Tank Bigsby, Jacksonville Jaguars
Tank Bigsby missed practice on Thursday with an ankle injury. He hasn’t practiced this week after being limited with the injury last week. If Bigsby misses Week 11 against the Detroit Lions Travis Etienne Jr. remains at RB27 between Rico Dowdle and Alexander Mattison. D’Ernest Johnson becomes RB47 between Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin.
RB31 Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers
Jaylen Warren missed practice on Thursday because of a back injury. This is a newer injury which is not a good sign for this week’s game. If Warren misses Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens Cordarrelle Patterson becomes RB42 between Cam Akers and Khalil Herbert.
RB41 Gus Edwards, Los Angeles Chargers
Gus Edwards was limited in practice on Wednesday with his ankle injury. Edwards was able to recover from his injury and play last week after being activated off Injured Reserve. If Edwards misses Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals Hassan Haskins becomes RB54 between Keaton Mitchell and Ezekiel Elliott.
