This year more than ever it has been difficult to make decisions about fantasy football lineups because of injuries, byes, and Covid-19 concerns. This week is championship week in a majority of leagues and players may have two quarterbacks on their roster that they have been flipping between all season. Deciding between the two could be the difference between winning and losing. For owners who have to stream a quarterback this week, it may be difficult to choose who to put into the lineup.
Here are quarterback rankings for Week 16 of the 2020 NFL Season.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to reserve/COVID-19 list*
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They Will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starter- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.
Low-End Starter- a player who should be started in most lineups but can possibly bottom out and finish below average on a given week.
Streamer- a player who could be a perfect replacement for a starter for a week or two. Starting this player may not win you your lineup but they will make sure that your production out of that position will not lose you your matchup either.
Deep League Streamer- a player who could fill a void at a position in a deeper league. Their ceiling may be close to average point production at the position but their floor is enough to get through the week.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday
QB19 Marcus Mariota, Las Vegas Raiders
Early in last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers Derek Carr suffered a groin injury. Marcus Mariota looked great off the bench and almost pulled out the victory on Thursday. Since the Raiders are barely still in the playoff race they may roll out Carr even though he is not 100%. If Carr plays he will be QB20 between Andy Dalton and Matthew Stafford.
QB24 Ryan Finley, Cincinnati Bengals
Last week Ryan Finley did the seemingly impossible and upset the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, Brandon Allen may be available to play this week after missing a game because of a knee injury. If Allen plays he will be the QB27 between Philip Rivers and Dwayne Haskins.
QB28 Dwayne Haskins, Washington Football Team
Despite all of the controversy around Dwayne Haskins the biggest question mark about him this week is dependent on Alex Smith’s health. After sustaining a calf injury two weeks ago, Smith has a legitimate shot to return this week. If Smith is active he will be QB25 between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater.
QB32 Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to have a quarterback competition during practice this week, despite holding the worst record in the NFL. Gardner Minshew likely has more upside than Mike Glennon, however, Jacksonville’s starting quarterback against the Chicago Bears would be the QB32 on the week between Daniel Jones and Taysom Hill.
