It was a blast in Philly as the Overwatch League continued in Week 2. This week teams will fight for justice out in Washington. With more teams rotating into play, the power rankings are starting to solidify. With only two weeks until the hero pool kicks into effect, teams are looking to stake their claims with early wins. There are some marquee matchups this week, with the Fusion vs. NYXL to kickstart the weekend. With that in mind, here are the TGH Season 3 Power Rankings heading into Week 3.
(MPD= Map Differential, High is the highest an individual ranked the team, Low is the lowest an individual ranked them, and LW= Last Week’s Power Ranking Position)
1. San Francisco Shock (High: 1 Low: 2 LW: 1st)
2. New York Excelsior (High: 1 Low: 4 LW: 2nd)
3. Vancouver Titans (High: 1 Low: 7 LW: 4th)
4. Atlanta Reign (High: 2 Low: 7 LW: 3rd)
5.Philadelphia Fusion (High: 3 Low: 9 LW: 7th)
The Philly Fusion ended their home-stand 2-0 and looked mighty fine in doing so. Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee clutched up as expected and Sumin “Sado” Kim didn’t feed! Philly faced a strong DPS core in Washington and a pretty decent Mayhem team to stay undefeated. Their real test comes this weekend when they face-off against the NYXL.

6. Shanghai Dragons (High: 2 Low: 13 LW: 5th)
7. Los Angeles Gladiators (High: 4 Low: 12 LW: 6th)
8. Seoul Dynasty (High: 6 Low: 12 LW: 8th)
9. Washington Justice (High: 5 Low: 17 LW: 11th)
The Justice came into the series being humbled by the showing of the hometown Fusion. While the frustration was obvious through sloppy play, they bounced back the next day against a sluggish Outlaws. Their home stand this week should be a relatively easy couple of wins for them provided the Paris Eternal stays humble from the power rankings.

10. Guangzhou Charge (High: 8 Low: 14 LW: 9th)
11. Hangzhou Spark (High: 9 Low: 16 LW: 10th)
T12. Toronto Defiant (High: 4 Low: 16 LW: 12th)
T12. Florida Mayhem (High: 10 Low: 18 LW: T14th)
Florida looked quite impressive against a poorly performing Houston team, but were quickly humbled in their next match against Philadelphia. With such a drastic difference in quality between each of their matches, the Mayhem have exited the week with a greater question mark over their roster than they had going into the season. Players like Gang “Gangnamjin” Nam-jin and Sangbum “BQB” Lee look to be among the best in the league in their positions so far, however, issues with understanding the meta make players like Junsoo “Kris” Choi look quite bad. With ups and downs and questions here and there, the Mayhem are again ranked in the middle of the pack. Hopefully with a weeks respite, the team can sort out any issues and continue on this season playing as they did against the Outlaws last week.

14. Paris Eternal (High: 7 Low: 17 LW: 13th)
15. Los Angeles Valiant (High: 9 Low: 18 LW: 16th)
16. Chengdu Hunters (High: 11 Low: 19 LW: T14th)
17. London Spitfire (High: 12 Low: 20 LW: 18th)
18. Dallas Fuel (High: 15 Low: 20 LW: 19th)
19. Houston Outlaws (High: 17 Low: 20 LW: 17th)
The Houston Outlaws narrowly avoid being the bottom team on the power rankings, but they’ll have a chance this week to get there. With a bottom of the barrel showdown between them and the Uprising, these two teams will be fighting to be deemed “not the worst team”. Hopefully this week will allow the team to get more out of the players, as they’ll need to step-up their performance to make their homestand in Week 4 worthwhile.

20. Boston Uprising (High: 18 Low: 20 LW: 20th)
