6. Star Wars Battlefront 2
If you have recently been paying attention to the gaming world, Star Wars Battlefront came out for the newest generation. While it is a solid game for this generation, it does not even hold a candle (outside of graphics) to the original battlefront games.
These two games were some of the most fun games I have ever played and still play today. Choosing between 1 and 2 was not an easy choice. There were some maps that were on 1 but not on 2 that made this decision very tough (Bespin). I decided on 2 for two reasons. The space combat and most importantly, (drum roll please)….GALACTIC CONQUEST!
Galactic conquest allows you to pick either the Rebels vs. Empire or the Republic vs. CIS (Droids). This mode could be played with 4 people and it was incredible to say the least. You would fight over planets against each other in an attempt to win the war. Countless upon countless hours were spent trying to take each other out. It was more than just a shooter it was Star Wars first off and secondly it had amazing multiplayer.
I wish that Steam would bring online multiplayer back but, sadly that is not likely to happen. This is the first of surprisingly only two Star Wars games that make this list.
I hope that someday someone either remakes the game with better graphics and online capabilities or makes a game just like it but better. My hope was the latest Battlefront would do the trick but, sadly it just played into the shooter of today’s genre.
