7. Halo
Notice that there is nothing after the word Halo. This is because, yes, I am putting the first one on here. While I would love to put the series I have decided that I must choose between all of them and the original Halo was so freaking amazing for so many reasons.
I remember when I first played the game at Jake’s house. I had no idea what I was doing but, I loved it right from the start. This was my first competitive shooter since Golden Eye (sadly not on this list). I was intrigued by the way the game moved, looked, and sounded. I had never really played the story much, but enough to know the first level.
It was rated M so my parents were not going to let me play it even though it was winning every gaming award that year. My Grandfather didn’t know that I wanted it but, had heard all of the talk about it and decided to get it for me without telling my parents. Oh man was that a fun conversation. The first level of the campaign has more than a few swear words in it and at the time my mom was pretty upset.
She eventually got over it and I now own every Halo game that has come out since. This game had fun multiplayer and still one of my favorite campaigns to date. All 10 of the levels in this game made me fall deeper in love with this game. I wanted to know what happened to the Master Chief and the survivors of the crash landing on the Ring.
It was truly an epic experience all around and I wanted to put it higher on this list but, there are so many great games to come it had to fall to 7.
