In a press release, FlyQuest has announced that a brand new line of merchandise specifically made for women will be available this Friday, May 24 on their online shop. It will feature, “flightwear, which features a sports bra, leggings, crop hoodie, lounge shorts, baseball tee and crop top.” It will be the first marketed towards women for the organization.
“We started this project last year because we wanted to give more choices to women
in esports. Every piece in this line has been designed from the ground up by the women of FlyQuest for women who want to feel comfortable and confident in what they wear to express themselves.” -Coo, Tricia Sugita
They also announced that 50% of all net profits will go to support Women for Women International, a group whose “social and economic empowerment program provides marginalized women with opportunity.” With this partnership, “FlyQuest will support 5 women in a yearlong training program that focuses on vocational and business skills training, rights awareness, health education, and additional emotional and social support.”
FlyQuest currently have teams in two esports, League of Legends and Fortnite. Their LCS roster has recently found success making their first ever Split Playoffs. While they were knocked out early, it showed the Milwaukee Bucks owned organization are making strides and are much more competitive than last year. It will be interesting to see if they venture back out into the esports world to grab more teams or if they will focus on what they have.
