The Minnesota Rokkr came out strong during the launch weekend of the Call of Duty League, winning both of their scheduled matches. The Armory in Minnesota had the honor of being the first-ever CDL tournament venue, and the fans were not disappointed by the Rokkr’s play. They were lead by a dominating performance from GodRx.
However, how about the Rokkr’s Challengers team, ran by Rebel Esports? Their roster is filled with talent as well, including TTinyy and Exceed who were added to the squad via a loan.
And if one may not be familiar with the CDL Challengers; it is essentially the proving ground for players who want to make the Call of Duty League. Interestingly, they provide several tournaments through both Online and LAN, making the schedule versatile.
Rebel Esports’ roster has a rich collection of experience and youth, similarly to the Rokkr. Most experienced out of the bunch is Devin “LLamaGod” Tran following the departure of longtime Call of Duty pro Steve “Mochila” Canle.
So, you know one name, but who fills out the rest of the squad? The Rokkr’s semi-pro team undoubtedly gives the organization some cozy depth with these players.
Aiden “Knight” Provenzano
Knight is a young veteran who has had experience with multiple teams throughout his time as a professional Call of Duty player. He began his career as a heavy Search and Destroy (SnD) player online, and got put on the map because of it.
After an early up and down start, he found great success in 2019, with several top-five finishes, including winning three online tournaments in a row. The scary thing about Knight is that he has the experience, while still growing, and that’s a solid fit for Rebel and the Rokkr.
Devin “LLamaGod” Tran
Rebel’s most decorated player in terms of years of service, LLamaGod has been on the Call of Duty scene since 2014. This was when systems like the Xbox One and PS4 were in their puppy stages.
His best year came back in 2015 where he won three online tournaments. He enjoyed a few runner-up finishes that year as well.
Trying to relive the magic from 2015, LLamaGod had a rock steady 2019, with a win in the Texas Showdown, and several runner-ups. He’s a player that very well could be viewed as Rebel’s team captain.
Kaden “Exceed” Stockdale
As mentioned, Exceed, along with TTinyy came to Rebel Esports off of a loan from the Rokkr. He is the youngest player between both Rebel and the Rokkr at 18-years-old and only turned pro in 2018 where he played two pro events.
Success quickly reached out to Exceed to say “hello”, as he won five times before joining the Rokkr organization. On top of that, five top-five finishes are under his name as well, and with Rebel, these can continue to grow as he grows.
Devin “TTinyy” Robinson
One of the other players who were apart of the loan, TTiny’s early days as a Call of Duty pro was a streamer for Rebel, so he has familiarity with the organization. TTinyy won four tournaments since going pro in 2019, adding championship DNA to the Rebel.
He’s also proven to be a great Search and Destroy player, with his most recent victory coming in the MLG GameBattles SnD event in Miami. Having briefly been on the Rokkr roster in the pre-season along with Exceed, it adds to the firepower of Rebel Esports.
