Texas Tech Hires Joey McGuire as Head Coach
The Texas Tech Raiders will have Joey McGuire, the former Baylor assistant coach as their new lead man.
USC vs. Cal postponed to December 4 due to COVID
USC and Cal were supposed to play in week 11, but will now meet on December 4 (the weekend of conference championships) due to COVID.

Coastal Carolina QB Grayson McCall Could Be Out for Season
After leaving a game against Troy, Grayson McCall could be out for the season. There aren’t many details on the injury at this time.

Middle Tennessee Opts to Stay in C-USA
After several teams have jumped conferences, Middle Tennessee has decided to stay in. This gives the C-USA eight teams starting in 2023.
With Middle Tennessee opting to stay, here’s how Conference USA should look in 2023:

- Northern Illinois and head coach Thomas Hammock have agreed to an extension.
- Nebraska has elected to keep Scott Frost as head coach in 2022 with a restructured contract.
- Washington coach Jimmy Lake has been suspended for a game for making contact with a player.
- Florida fires defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and running game coordinator/O-Line coach John Hevesy.
- Oregon State fires defensive coordinator Tim Tibesar.
- UConn has hired Jim Mora as their next head coach.
