UConn Hires Jim Mora as Next Football Coach

UConn Hires Jim Mora

The UConn Huskies have decided to hire former NFL head coach Jim Mora Jr. as their next head coach according to multiple reports.

Mora, 59, was a head coach in the NFL for the Falcons and the Seahawks. In four seasons as an NFL head coach, he posted a 31-33 record

He most recently coached UCLA from 2012-2017 where he posted a 46-30 record in six seasons. Following his time at UCLA he also worked as an analyst at ESPN, which is something he had done in between NFL coaching gigs.

At UConn, Mora will take over a team that has one win this season. Randy Edsall retired earlier in the year and Mora will try to bring the program to new heights, which will be hard given their status as an independent.
