Happy Pokemon Day everyone! During today’s Pokemon Direct, we were introduced to the next core titles in the Pokemon franchise: Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. These games will release in late 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
Check out the first trailer here:
Sword and Shield will be the first core main series games on the Nintendo Switch and will bring players to the new region of Galar. Galar looks to be an industrious region and, in align rumors, looks to be inspired by the England. We were also introduced to three new starter Pokemon: Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble. As with any new entry in the Pokemon series, a whole new batch of Pokemon will be available for trainers to catch in this brand new adventure.
Other than a single trailer, that’s all of the information we have for now. The next generation of Pokemon is finally here, and fans across the world will be eagerly anticipating any further information leading up to the game’s release later this year.
