The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2024 Military Bowl.
East Carolina Pirates Draft Prospects
Gavin Gibson, CB
Gibson started his career at Maryland, where he spent two years. After playing sparingly for the Terrapins, he transferred to ECU for the 2024 season. During the 2024 season, he registered 47 total tackles and three interceptions.
At 6-foot and 185 pounds, Gibson can fill out his frame a bit more to help his stock. He is just a junior, so his best move may be to return to school. If he does go pro, he’ll have to prove himself on special teams to make a roster.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Jake Garcia, QB
Garcia started his career at Miami, where he spent one season. He then moved on to Missouri for a season. Following that, he made the move to East Carolina. In his one season at East Carolina, he passed for 1,426 yards, eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 60.2 percent completion.
At 6-foot-3 and 203 pounds, Garcia has decent size for a quarterback, but could fill out his frame more. He didn’t finish the season for East Carlina and had some erratic play, so his best move is to return to school and improve his play.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
*CB Shavon Revel is out for this game with an injury. He is a projected first-round pick.
NC State Wolfpack Draft Prospects
Anthony Belton, OT
Belton joined NC State in 2021. He didn’t play much in his first season, but then jumped into the starting lineup in 2022. Belton has been the starting left tackle for NC State ever since. He has gained plenty of experience over his time with the Wolfpack.
At 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds, Belton has good size for an NFL offensive tackle. His experience playing left tackle will help him, but he failed to make an All-ACC team in his last season. He still has the tape to be a mid-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Third Round Pick-Fifth Round Pick
Zeke Correll, IOL
Correll started his college career in 2019 with Notre Dame. He started sparingly in 2020 and 2021 before stepping into the starting lineup in 2022. He started again in 2023 and then transferred to NC State in 2024. He was named a Third Team All-ACC member for his play in 2024.
At 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, Correll can fill out his frame a little bit more. He has plenty of experience at Notre Dame and NC State. Correll could play guard or center, which helps his value. He could be drafted late in the draft.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: EDGE Davin Vann (6th-UFA), CB Aydan White (UFA), TE Justin Joly (6th-UFA), WR Dacari Collins (UFA), RB Jordan Waters (UFA), OT Dawson Jaramillo (UFA), LB Sean Brown (UFA)
