The Washington Commanders have hired Dane Quinn as their new head coach according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Quinn was previously the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys where he was from 2021-2023. He was formerly the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. In six seasons, he had a 43-42 record, helping the team make the Super Bowl during his tenure.
Along with his most recent job and the head coaching job with the Falcons, Quinn was an assistant with the Seahawks, Jets, Dolphins and the 49ers.
In Washington, Quinn will be taking over for Ron Rivera, who was fired after a 4-13 season. The Commanders have a new ownership group and will be starting a new chapter for the organization.
