Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is finally here for players to enjoy and explore. Following the heels of the Fortnite OG Season, the battle royale is coming off some pretty high momentum. With this new Chapter, there have been a lot of gameplay and graphical changes such as new POIs, weapons, characters, and so much more. One of the newest features added was a change to the player’s movement along with new animations. Since then the community has been in a disagreement on whether it likes the new changes or not. Many have been vocal about both sides and now the official Fortnite account has addressed the new movement controversy discussion.

Fortnite Addresses New Movement Controversy
The official Fortnite Twitter/X account has addressed the controversy with the new movement implemented in Chapter 5 Season 1. They have stated that the new movement has gone through playtesting and even took them a few days to get used to the new mechanics. They also have made some adjustments such as run and sprint speed slightly slower (but stamina recovers quicker), sideways + backward movement faster, and crouching is slower, but stealthier. They’ve also promised players that they are keeping a close eye on all of their feedback during this time. For now, they encourage players to give it a try in hopes that these changes start to feel natural over time. They also recommend that players change their settings to accommodate these changes as well.
What are Auras In Fortnite?
While players aren’t able to access Auras in Fortnite, the tab for it can still be seen in the player locker. The newest battle pass doesn’t include any Auras so some players are confused as to what they are and what they do. Luckily Fortnite data miners such as @iFireMonkey can access Auras in the game files and tell players what exactly they do. Auras will work and can only be purchased for the Fortnite Festival game mode that will be released soon. According to iFireMonkey, when Auras are used they will show up on your character in the background during streaks/during Overdrive. This happens when you get all the notes right in a song. Below are some images for some of the Auras that will be offered to players.
