Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, will have a new team in 2023. Nunez-Roches is reportedly signing a new deal with the Giants for a yet-unknown length and salary.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
After becoming a sixth round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, Nunez-Roches played there for three years, until 2017. He was, then, released by Kansas City ahead of 2018. He had a stint on the Colts’ practice squad before signing with the Buccaneers.
During his five-year run with Tampa Bay, he won Super Bowl LV against the team that released him. Nunez-Roches’ career statistics sit at 127 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Two of those sacks came in 2022.
