The Houston Outlaws appear to be going in a new direction this year, and it starts with the front line. On Friday December 23, the Houston Outlaws announced the signing of former Dallas Fuel tank Eui-sok “Fearless” Lee for the 2023 season. Fearless spent the past two years playing with the Dallas Fuel, where he would go on to lead the team to a 2023 Grand Finals Championship.
Fearless entered the league part-way through the 2018 Inaugural season with the Shanghai Dragons. Unfortunately for Fearless at the time, the Dragons were solidly in last place and would remain there after finishing the season 0-40. Despite the brutal 2018 season, the Dragons kept Fearless on the roster. He would eventually come back for another season with Shanghai in 2020 after playing the majority of the 2019 season on the Dragons’ Contenders team, Team CC.

After the 2020 season, Fearless joined the Dallas fuel to reunite with former Head Coach Hee-won “Rush” Lee. With the Fuel Fearless excelled, earning Role Star in back to back years. In 2022, Fearless helped the Dallas Fuel win their first ever Grand Finals, and earned a Grand Finals MVP award on the way.
Fearless joins a rebuilt Houston Outlaws team as their sole tank player. Houston struggled to stick with one tank player throughout the 2022 season. With Fearless joining the ranks, Houston should be set at the position heading into the sixth season of the Overwatch League.
