Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been officially placed on IR. After suffering a foot injury, Owusu-Koramoah will be out for four weeks with the injured reserve designation. On the outside chance that the Browns make the playoffs, Owusu-Koramoah would be able to return.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Owusu-Koramoah was drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. He made the Pro Football Writers’ Association’s All-Rookie Team during his first year, playing in 14 games and grabbing 76 combined tackles.
This season, Owusu-Koramoah has played in 10 games (nine starts), racking up 64 combined tackles, four pass deflections and two forced fumbles. He has yet to have a sack this season, and only had 1.5 sacks during his rookie year.
