Artazon is a town in the southeast of Paldea and right at the edge of the map around 5 o’clock if one was looking at a clock. This is the home of the Artazon Town Pokemon Gym and is one of the Gyms players will need to beat in order to complete the Gym Leader story in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Here is a breakdown of the Artazon Town Pokemon Gym including the Leader, Type of Pokemon, the Leader’s Pokemon and how to complete the Gym Puzzle.

Gym Puzzle
To start, trainers will have to complete the Artazon Town Gym Puzzle. Once this is completed they can battle the Gym Leader Brassius.
Task: Sunflora Hide-and-Seek
Players have to go around and find 10 Sunflora around Artazon Town. There are a lot of Sun-Shaped objects around the town and this is where players will find most of the Sunflora. They will have to take them to the Sunflora Lawn which will be pointed out on the player’s map.
- Talk to the person in the suit just outside of the Sunflora Lawn. Players will see the many statues as well.
- The first one is right next to where the player starts, on their left.
- After this they are scattered around the town, make sure to check by the Sunflora statues.
- As frustrating as this is, they are not in the same spots consistently but are still easily found when just running around.
Gym Leader and Pokemon
Artazon Gym
Gym Leader: Bassius
Gym Type: Grass
Gym Pokemon:
- Petilil
- Level 16
- Grass
- Smoliv
- Level 16
- Grass and Normal
- Sudowoodo
- Level 17
- Rock (Grass Tera Type)
Early on this Gym may be a bit harder only because of the Sudowoodo. Using Fuecoco as a starter will help the player get through the first two Pokemon easily. Then Quaxly would be great for Sudowoodo if it were not for the Grass Tera Type. But any Pokemon with a Water move that is not a Water type or a Fighting Pokemon will do well to take down the Sudowoodo.
