Washington Wizards power forward Anthony Gill is returning to the team for at least two more seasons. Reports indicate that Gill and the Wizards have agreed on a two-year contract for a yet-unknown amount of money. This is his second two-year deal in a row with the team. Delon Wright is also signing with Washington on a two-year, $16 million contract
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.

Gill went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Virginia. He took his talents to Turkey to play professional basketball before playing in Russia for three years. Gill was offered a two-year deal with the Wizards in 2020, and has not returned to international basketball since.
Despite playing in 44 games, Gill started zero in 2021-2022. He averaged just 4.4 points per game, but was a lights-out three-point shooter last season, with almost 54 percent shooting from behind the arc. His usage isn’t much but given that the Wizards have given him two deals already, Gill must be a part of their plans.
Wright spent his 2021-2022 season with the Atlanta Hawks, but was originally drafted by the Raptors in 2015. Besides those two franchises, he also bounced around to Memphis, Dallas, Detroit and Sacramento. Last year was a bit of a downturn for Wright, who scored 4.4 points per game despite playing in a career-high 77 games.
