Greene, 21, was the fifth overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft. He is currently ranked as the second-best prospect on MLB.com and the best in the Tigers’ organization.
An outfielder, Greene has spent three seasons (COVID canceled 2020) in the Minor Leagues. He has batted .291 with 30 home runs and 120 RBIs during his minor league career.
After breaking his right foot before the season, Greene rehabbed and played two games in A ball and 15 games at the AAA level to prepare for his MLB debut.
The Tigers will hope that Greene can provide a boost to the team, as they have a 24-39 record on the season.
