Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is officially out tonight against the Detroit Pistons. The official cause listed for his absence is abdominal pain. It is likely just a rest night for the superstar, but it is unclear how long he will be absent from the Blazers’ lineup.
Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.

In the 20 games in which Lillard has played this season, he is averaging 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.8 assists. His field goal percentage sits at just below 40 percent, while his three-point percentage is 30.2 percent, which is on pace to be a career low. Albeit, only through a quarter of the season.
The loss is going to require some lineup shuffling, as Lillard is also averaging almost 36 minutes on the floor in 2021. Stay tuned for more NBA news, including updates on Lillard’s status moving forward.
