sFlyQuest have officially signed Toucouille as their new Mid Laner for the 2022 LCS Season. This comes after letting go of Palafox after a disappointing season. The move was announced in the tweet below:
Welcome, @Toucouille_lol!
The performances of our young French promise earned him the LFL Spring Split MVP, and now he will take care of the mid lane! 🇫🇷

Who is Toucouille?
Toucouille was one of the best players in the LFL and is a great grab for the future of FlyQuest. Toucouille in the Summer Split had amazing stats including a GD10 of 206, XPD10 of 106, CSD10 of 5.6, DPM of 528 and a KDA of 3.5. Needless to say, these are quite impressive. They get even more so when you consider the fact that Toucouille was on the 7th place team.
The question with Toucouille isn’t whether he is good, but is he able to matchup to the other top LCS Mid Laners? With Jiizuke and Jensen not having a team yet and Perkz returning to EU, there is an opening in the Mid Lane. That being said, the competition isn’t easy. PowerOfEvil, Fudge, Bjergsen Jojopyun and Ablazeolive are all going to be in contention for the best LCS Mid Laner. If Toucouille is able to break into this upper half in his first LCS Split, that is a big success for FlyQuest.
Besides his individual performance, this move significies a whole new direction for FlyQuest. The 2021 season was a huge disapointment and it seems like they are starting all over again. Johnsun and Josedeodo are staying, but the rest is “new” players. This is assuming one doesn’t include Kumo’s few games when the Academy team swapped in.
FlyQuest has a lot of challenges in the coming year, but Toucouille seems like a great prospective signing all around.
