After a battle between himself and Taysom Hill, Jameis Winston has been named the New Orleans Saints starting quarterback according to Adam Schefter.
Jameis Winston has been named the Saints' starting quarterback and will make his first start for New Orleans on opening day vs. Green Bay Packers, per sources.

Winston, 26, is a former no. 1 overall pick from the 2015 NFL Draft. After spending five seasons with the Buccaneers, Winston was not signed to a new contract. He joined the Saints in 2020 and played in a backup role with Hill to Drew Brees.
Last season, Winston threw for 75 yards, but he has passed for 19,812 yards, 121 touchdowns and 88 interceptions on 61.4 percent completion.
