In a surprise announcement, the LA Valiant announced they would not be playing in NA this season. Instead, the team would be based out of China and would compete in the APAC region. In addition, this move completes the entire APAC region for the upcoming season.

This decision is both good and bad for the Valiant this season. The move will allow them to live safer and freer during the season outside the US. This will likely reduce the mental stress and help the players feel more into the season throughout the year. The downside though is it will likely have an adverse effect on their record. In a region with fewer teams and a collection of high-end teams, there is now little room for error. They may still be able to mirror their success from last season, but it’ll take a lot more work.
